It's entirely possible that at every level imaginable, God does not exist. We have tools of science and logic in the modern age which do grave harm to the concept of there being a God: Evolution, the infinite nature of time and space, the possibility of multiple universes and so on. But the more we learn, the more we realise how much we have yet to grasp.
At this stage of our development, because there is so much that we DON'T know, there is the remaining element of uncertainty in the existence of God.
Could God exist in some as yet misunderstood way? Existence is life, but first we need to define life. Is a sentient human being alive? Is a non sentient human being alive? Is a Cat or Dog alive? Is a single cell organism alive? Is a computer software programme alive? Is the Internet alive?
Is being "Alive" all that matters, or do we require sentience to become truly an entity? Is God merely "alive" as the sum of the parts of all sentient life here and throughout the multi dimensional universe?
I am an entity, a "software programme" running inside a human brain, supported by a human body. This entity speaks out to you as a disembodied, faceless, voiceless blog. I have no name, no race, no sex, no religious background (I do have a football team - I can't get rid of all my baggage- but I choose to withhold that for now). I am a speck of sentience, the same as you. Could it be that we are all like individual neurons firing in the brain of God? If you have read this far, you and I are like two neurons connected, and maybe God has just got a fraction smarter!
I cannot proclaim "God exists" or "God does not exist" or even "God is not a mutant star goat" I can proclaim "God is probably not a mutant star goat", but that doesn't make me much of a prophet!
So here I proclaim this: We are all part of the mind of God: Whether God is sentient at some level is unlikely, but not impossible and it is irrelevant in any case. By "we" I mean the entities running inside our brains, whether they be human brains or otherwise. You don't have to be sentient to be part of the mind of God.
God is most definitely NOT a man who lives in the sky, he doesn't do cheap conjuring tricks with staffs, burning bushes, winged horses, lightning bolts or stone hammers! Now, can we move on, people?
